There is no cat that's more "cat" than Moccasin. The perpetual Casanova, he often comes home from extensive, day-long trips smelling like somebody else's perfume. I am convinced that Moccasin has a second home going somewhere where he is loved and gets fed and where he gets to spend the cold and rainy nights sleeping on some other woman's pillow, wrapped around her head.

Little Mocci was a hungry, skinny little stray cat hanging out in our back yard so many years ago. It took us many weeks before he would finally let us touch him. A piece of freshly barbecued salmon eventually did the trick and that's how Moccasin became part of our kitty family. We gave him this name because Moccasin has the ability to just show up out of thin air and we would never hear him approach or jump the wall. Like an Indian he sneaks up on you. Or maybe Mocci can teleport?

Moccasin is a very handsome fellow; and now, that he is older and a little wiser, so full of love he can barely contain himself. He loves to rub his little face all over his humans' faces. His middle name is "Butthead" because he...well...loves to butt heads with you, literally. And he is quite forceful and insistent about it. Mocci is also a big grunter; when he gets petted he loves to let you know that you are doing an excellent job and please don't stop.
